Abarth gearbox clutch issue
« on: March 01, 2020, 06:29:32 am »
Hi

I have owned a Abarth 500 since new it’s now 4years old and has only done 26000 miles.

It’s got a full service history, I took it into the dealership to have its  major service 2 weeks ago and when given back it’s instantly started making a ticking noise  - the noise stops when I put my foot on the clutch but comes up when you release the clutch - car went back into to the garage I’m now being told by the dealerships servicing department I need my whole gearbox and clutch replaced!

Has anyone else had this issue? on such a low mileage abarth?

Also how long should a gearbox and clutch typically last in an abarth?

    The whole gearbox replaced?

Could you have them give you a written estimate of what they believe should be changed and the price? And have them write what they believe is the problem?
