Hi all, I've an Abarth 595 which I recently purchased and I've just noticed that there's been a rattling sound from underneath. On the day I purchased the car I remember coming up to a roundabout and since I was focusing on the roundabout looking to my right as you do I drove over a really bad pot hole. The sound didn't come immediately after that, the sound came I'd say maybe a couple weeks afterwards and at first would only happen on roads which are steep whether they be down or uphill. Now I am noticing the rattling a lot more, whenever I drive on an uneven road or on a speed bump. This is the case even when travelling very slowly 5-10mph.
Any ideas what it is?
All I can think of is that one bad pot hole I went over the day I purchased the cat and then each patch of uneven road/speed bump has loosened whatever it is more.
Also I've noticed when driving in the countryside some of the roads have been a bit up and down, very uneven and bouncy and I have felt the wheels hit the wheel arch or atleast that's what I think is happening. Im aware of where this happens now so I avoid going at any sort of speed at these locations but the first couple times I drove I weren't aware so this happened a few times so could this have knocked something causing the rattle?
Lastly, I've a car cover which I got from UK Custom Covers and for the most part it's fine. However a week or so ago we had some very windy days and the car cover would partially come off. Now I have a rope which I tied to the cover however as the wind was so strong it would still come up past the bumper and the rope has left some scratches. The scratches I don't think they are very deep, though the way it looks, it's like I've reversed into something which is obviously not the case.
Does anyone have any advice on how to remove these scratches. It's a shame as the rest of the car is looking pretty, I used the cover in the hope of protecting it but instead it's ended up scratching it.
