Have to agree with Shep on this one.

Admitedly I was expecting to pay £13.5k plus a bit extra for options.

I can't justify spending £15k on a 500 its insane.

Err.. yes, I think it is, but we are all pi55ing in the wind.....no one yet knows the f*&$%ng price! Abarth are you reading this!!!!  We want an estimated price and delivery.

The "under £14k" came from this press release.

The first 200 cars are only likely to be £15k because of the options.  Are you saying that the £13.5k base price is too much?

Actual confirmed price, spec and delivery would be nice!! why is it taking so long they've had many peoples money now for many months. very poor.

I was just trying to find out what price people were expecting to pay.

It doesn't take much to add £1,500 to a car in options - add leather seats and metallic paint, and you're there.

Personally, I find it odd not having the 500 priced below the GPA.  I'd have gone for £12,995.  But then if I had anything to do with it, we'd have had the car on the road long before now...

I think that £13.5K is a fair price. Before Feb of this year I was considering a 500 1.4 lounge with the body styling kit and other toys from the options list and that totaled at £12.5k. £1K is worth it for the extra 35BHP and stiffer suspension and better brakes and exclusive badge.

I still think its amazing Abarth have got £100,000.00 (200*500) sitting in thier bank from the official deposits let alone what the dealers are sitting on in their own accounts and there is still no offical price relase let alone when it will happen.

    Edit for maths stupidity

I still think its amazing Abarth have got £10,000.00 (200*500) sitting in thier bank from the official deposits let alone what the dealers are sitting on in their own accounts and there is still no offical price relase let alone when it will happen.

I think you'll find that's £100K sitting in their bank earning interest - lets hope it's not in an Icelandic one  ;)

Don't see the comparison with the BMW MINI, it was always aimed at aspirational people hence its high price.

As in thinking they are driving more of a BMW than a MINI.

I wasn't comparing the 500A with a MINI. I was commenting on people buying JCWs at a premium over and above a Cooper S.
