And another newb question - identifying Brembos
« on: October 12, 2021, 12:12:20 pm »
I've asked this one on another Fiat forum already so apologies for the cross-posting if anyone's on both...

Jumping the gun very much since I haven't even got a 500 yet, but I picked up some Brembos from Ebay which supposedly came from a 595 comp. They have the Brembo radial mount and look correct, but is there any easy way to tell if they are 500 calipers, or if they've come off a Grande Punto?

Either way isn't a problem but they were originally running on solid discs, and I'd very much like to run them with the correct 305mm floating discs when I get a car to mount them to rather than having to resort to solid Coupe discs. Generally I like the feel and weight of Brembos (added them to a few of my past projects) but to make the most of them it's better to run them with a lightweight floating disc rather than a solid one.
