Title: Best Air intake
Post by: yourdad1 on May 20, 2020, 11:00:25 am
Hi guys,
My girlfriend owns a 68 plate 595 comp.
My knowledge on these cars is non existent. I'm looking to buy her an air intake for her birthday but I'm not sure which is best. At the moment im looking at the ram air. I hear the forge one is decent but im not sure if i can justify another £100 especially when the carbon goodness is out of site anyway!
I have seen good things about orra racing ones but cant seem to find how much they are or where to buy one.
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

When I brought my Abarth it came with a GTTuning intake. I soon changed it out for the Forge one. To me it seems a bit daft any of the intakes that draw the warm air from the engine bay.

I'd go for the Forge, however it is a little noisy as the intake is right next to the heater air fed so you can hear the induction sound very well inside.

Buying it for sound anyway. The power difference would be negligible anyway.

Well in that case then the Forge may be just up your street

I've got the forge and it makes a nice noise, you do need to cut the scuttle panel slightly to get it to fit.
