Brake pads for the Brembo 4-piston calipers
« on: March 11, 2021, 09:25:55 am »
I thinking of changing the brake pads. I changed the floating discs and pads 25.000 km ago and then I used the Brembo pads. But I just found out that the car originally came with the FERODO HP 1000/1 high-performance brake pads. Price is about the same for Brembo and Ferodo.

Which would you choose and why?

Hi, on other cars I have tried both of those pads in I have found these results. Brembo are less effective when cold and will need a good shove at first, when warm, excellent. Ferodo are again less efficient when cold but needed more warming up and though excellent wore the discs quicker. Now that may be the discs I was using ( also Brembo ) but that is what I found. Not very helpful I know but personally I would stick to the Brembo for road use.
