Buzzing from wheel bearing
« on: September 10, 2014, 04:46:24 pm »
The buzzing is still relentless at over 40mph despite a new backbox to replace the rotten one so it looks like I've got a duff wheel bearing in the OSR, so it's into a local garage to have it replaced on Friday.

A word of warning - Lipscombe Maidstone wanted £387.83 - the local garage is doing it for £176.00 ...

Will report back once done

.... at which point it'll also be needing two new front tyres :(

Sorry to hear it!  Are you getting both done to be safe, or just the one?

Did you try Monza Sports in Ashington, West Sussex?

if you've got some spanners, a hammer and a bit of confidence it takes half an hour and costs 40 quid :thumb:

2 new bearings and £242 later and I am buzz and drone free.

You know that it must have been bad when it's now like driving a Rolls Royce Phantom through a church ...
