Choice on Springs
« on: January 06, 2016, 09:29:45 pm »
Hi all, sorry for another topic on springs but hopefully it's a quick answer.

I have some koni fsd's to fit. So obviously I need to pick some shiny new springs to go with them.

Now ideally i want to lower the rear more than the front (i'm not a fan of the front looking lower than the rear). I was thinking 25/30mm front and 35 ish rear but as far as i'm aware there isn't a set that does that?

So my choice then is Eibach's or H&R's. Am I correct in thinking the H&R's are the lower of the two?

Cheers,

Pete

H&Rs were great on ours with Koni shocks, felt like it rode slightly better than standard but it was certainly no worse. Sat spot on too.  :thumb:

Final question! Whats the difference with some of the H&R springs? Different websites show different part numbers. I've seen 29054-6 and i've seen 29054-2. Is there a difference?

When i ordered mine there were two options, Fiat 500 69 bhp petrol, and Fiat 500 Diesel/Abarth.

Are they the blue ones or the black ones?

Benn, can you remember which you had on yours?

Bummer. Was hoping you would say black and then that would give the reason for the difference in opinion on ride quality!

What's the difference between the two then?!

Just done a bit more research. Seems the -6 are for 2011 onwards and the -2's are for 08-2010 cars.

I can't imagine there is much difference to be honest. Working in the automotive industry, we up revision part numbers for absolutely tiny change, could just be the colour identification or a label.
