Crushed Oil Filter

Hello All, just done oil & filter on my 2015 595, When I removed the old filter it looked like the photo below.
Anyone else had this?

    My opinion, it has not been pushed into the plastic cap before reassembly.  :whistle:

    I've seen it on BMW's that use a similar filter system. If the filter is just dropped into the holder and the top screwed on without seating the filter correctly on the cap, this as 124Abarthreplica correctly says, is the result.

    Sorry about the photo but all pictures and attachments now have to be approved by Admin before they can be shown on the forum.

    Where can I get the original oil filter which i believe is part number 73500049 please?

    I note that many websites show various different makes for our car, which make is the original and where can I buy it from please?
