Driver’s Side Windscreen Wiper
« on: January 14, 2019, 10:04:08 am »
My car had the usual problem of the ‘cracking’ noise of the drivers wiper catching the other blade, which was fixed by the dealer. However, the driver’s side wiper has always been poor at clearing the screen. I’ve tried Bosch Aeros, PIAA, still leaves water as it returns to the down position.

I read here that a few users found their drivers wiper was loose, so I removed the plastic trim to tighten the nut. It was locked on tight.

However, the whole spindle it Bolts onto is loose. I can see this when the wipers are on, the driver’s side moves around.

Anyone know how to access this to fix it?

The Abarth wipers are not the most robust design and even when new, seem to have slop in them. I wonder if new arms might improve your issues, especially if the original ones are a little twisted.
