First issue ... Exhaust back box
« on: September 08, 2013, 07:17:43 pm »
So, bit of a strange squealing noise on the motorway yesterday from the rear, which stopped on braking. Pulled over to check but couldn't see anything, and not reoccurred on big motorway trip today.

However, on looking under the car for things hanging off, it seems the backbox is rotten, theres a rusty split from front to back, looks like it needs replacement to me :(

Have obviously emailed the dealer I got it from and would expect him to sort it - not on, as it would be an MOT failure.

So, are rotten back boxes a common issue?

And any recommendations (sensible ones) with what to replace it with/where to get a genuine Abarth item from cheaply?

Hmmm ...
Campovolo Grey. Angel Remap. BMC Filter. Coupe Bumpstops. BOV Filter Mod. White Lights. Red Leather. Stickered. Love it!
