Used to fill up with Shell V Power religiously.. started using Asdas fuel as using the car everyday now.. noticed not one single difference.

    I think you will find it really depends on the state of tunning
    If it is highly modified then you will need higher octain to get the benefits
    I used to run an  R34gtr could only use 98 or higher if I wanted to drive hard
    If I used 95 it was fine till I tryed to push it
    Then the ECU would retard the power and the car would not be able to drive hard
    It was modified
    With new ecu,cams,exhaust,induction,
    Pushing just over 400 bhp

    Conducted a little experiment with ours, ran it for a thousand miles on V power then the next thousand on regular unleaded. Didn't notice any difference in power and economy was almost identical. I'm not convinced that premium fuel is worth the extra cost.

     If you have a GPA then you WILL notice the difference between Super and normal petrol.

     read the hand book it says that for the max power outs you will need the Super fuel.

     you also get about 2 or 3 mpg benefit.

    1st ,Autobianchi A112 Abarth 1050 70HP  5 speed . gone but not forgotten..........
    Then, GPA alternative wheels,climate control, leather, Hi Fi , RED like really RED,no smoker's kit good.
    Now,595 Competizione,record grey,yellow calipers and interscope . 
    I see a pattern emerging here.......

    I tried a couple of tanks of V Power Nitro in our Std 135 A500 and it made no differance at all. It felt no different and the fuel, consumption was the same

    If it was a 595 or esseesse, then maybe it would make a differance
