Help identifying a cable

Hi,

I spotted a cable hanging down at the rear, in the middle. Looks like it was tucked into the area behind the mesh/grille on the rear diffuser.

Any idea what it is? I can see the cable in the boot under the carpet, and the hole it goes into.

    You'll need more posts before you can post a photo. :o

    Although the cable sounds like a rear parking sensor fitment. :thumb:

    Has the car had a previous owner? Maybe they fitted an extra brake light behind the grille and took it off prior to sale but left the wiring.
