High Beams not working
« on: December 15, 2021, 07:23:18 pm »
I have xenons and the high beam just stopped working. I'm not able to turn them on or flash them. The blue light in the dash comes on, but not the actual light  ???

I have not checked fuses or relays, but I seem to have heard something about this being a Fiat/Abarth issue?

Hello, seen something about this on YouTube, no gaurantees but the fault was in the Body Control Module, there are some relays which switch the headlights inside and I believe that they sometimes fail. I think that it's pretty easy to change the Body Control Module though, and I don't think they are coded to the car.

I'm probably stating the obvious, but the high beams are (H1 bulbs IIRC) inside the DRL when you have Xenons.
Make sure the connectors behind the "doors" are connected and the H1's are Ok.
Oh and they may have a seperate fuse.

Don't have time to look at it before the weekend, so for the moment I have just put a Ctek battery charger on it. My experience from our Ferrari and Range Rover is that even small voltage sags on the battery can throw all kind of faults. Not that this has been my experience with the Abarth, but here is hoping that the cteck can work its magic.
