Was in Italy last week and came upon a toy shop, saw there were toy cars and couldn't resist. Low and behold found some little toy Abarth's for the grand total of €3 each...

They also had a larger scale one in red, which was €30. They also had the Abarth Punto for the same price. Didn't get them due to luggage/other half restrictions.

    Ha, cute!

I might have to try and get hold of the Punto one now...

The Punto one was a lot bigger and very nice, pretty detailed interior and it looked lovely. Shame they didn't have a small scale one like the 500's, otherwise I'd have gotten one to go along with those!

I'll take a look on the bottom to see who they are made by.

The 500 and G.P Models are now available in the U.K. through the Abarth dealer network. I don't have the prices to hand, but i'll look tomorrow and let you know.

Yeah, I saw those but couldn't decide if they were the same. I suspect they are (except mine don't have chequered roofs) as the ones I got were fully marked up as official Abarth products.

I wonder how much those will be then, €3 is very cheap and I can't imagine they'll be that once they get here.

unfortunatley, there is no way they are going to be that cheap. By the time they have been shipped from Italy, packaged, and dealer margin (at the end of the day we are in buisness to make money) they will be quite a bit more. Its still going to be cheaper than buying a plane ticket to Italy to get them though.

Oh for sure yeah, I bought a Lupo GTI model earlier in the year and it cost me £30!

I should have bought a job lot back, I do go to Italy a few times a year so on my next visit I'll post a bunch to myself and ebay 'em. :)

Have a look at the merchandising thread, I have posted the official prices for the whole range. I think the model cars a great value.
