Launch Edition
« on: March 09, 2009, 07:50:10 am »
Could someone please tell me the exact spec and OTR price of the Launch Edition?
Also is it possible to add the sat nav predisposition kit if not fitted at the factory?
Cheers Stokey

Hi and welcome to our forum.
If you haven't done so already you might want to use the search functionality.
For your convenience I have searched for you and came up with this thread, wich should answer your questions.
If you have unanswered questions regarding the launch edition maybe it's better if you ask them in that specific thread. :)

(Darn those fast moving forum monkeys)

Thanks for that, I only got my forum registration this morning so couldn't search the threads properly( I tried to manually search prior to this but couldn't find the correct thread instead getting the months of speculation that precede any major launch!) :)

no worries mate , glad to be of help. by the way only use the search function if you want to, a big aim for this forum was to get away from every post turning into "this has been asked 20 times DO A SEARCH!"  :thumb:

This is exactly why we were chosen to mod John, we're boring and repetitive ;D

Welcome on board stokey, if you can find a spare LE knocking around at a dealers that's your lot, although I know of someone who had the scorpion taken off (still had to pay for it though iirc) As far as I'm aware all LEs were built and shipped to the UK in time for the launch no more to be built under that guise although obv you can spec one the same.

There isn't the sat nav predisposition anymore, the RHD lost it to the boost gauge btw. I'm not sure if the other B&M intergrated nav is available to the A500 or not. But safe to say the LEs don't have it.

a good dealer will take the scorpion off and not charge you for it either, as they did mine (thanks research)

Do wonder how many LEs are left out there for sale, can't be that many left.

Arnold Clark Springburn had quite a few of them the other week, I seem to remember someone posted a photo of them all sitting there (7 I think?)

The LE is quite a nice spec, but the red leather was too bright for me and cleaning those 10 spoke alloys would be a nightmare!

I think there may be a couple of LE's still floating around not sold, if you want one then ask your dealer. You may be lucky :thumb:

I heard that their were some left and Chesterfield ended up having some more due to demand. I guess they are selling more than other abarth dealers.

Well there were only 200 LEs so its more a case of them not being sold to existing customers, guess A500 owners want their personal as much as the next 500 owner.  ;)

Supose they've shunted some around to dealers who can move them on.

Just signed on the dotted line ( well gave a deposit over the phone!) and we'll be picking the LE up next wed :)
The dealer is going to switch the wheels over from the 10 spokes to the 5 petal ones as we prefer them ( and should be easier to clean too!!)

    Can't wait :)
