Michelin pilot sport All Season 4
« on: April 02, 2021, 03:22:22 pm »
Hi, I live in Munich and the winters are long and cold and snows for few weeks every winter, I have two sets of tires Pirelli sottozero 3 for the winter and Michelin pilot sport 3 for the summer, I don’t track and I’m getting tired of change wheels every 6 months specially now that the Michelin are nearly gone on depth, 2,5mm left, so I was thinking to buy 4 Michelin pilot sport all season 4, will it be a good decision? Are they good for wet and dry? Anybody had experience with those tires?
Regards

I had All season tyres on my Fiat 500 and whilst the cars are not the same, the outcomes may be similar. The all season tyres worked well in all situations, when it was wet the car tended less to be effected by standing water. In the snow they were very good, but not up to the standard of a dedicated winter tyre. I felt as if the all seasons were a 'heavier' tyre on the car. The car did not seem to accelerate or steer as well. I think the fuel consumption also suffered. The changes were only very subtle but were there. If that is a compromise that does not bother you them go for it. Swapping wheel sets around is not a chore, storing them for me is ;D. On our Abarth the diamond cut summer tyres do not see any salt and are perfect. Our winter set look quite sorry.
    I hope this helps.

Thanks for the answer, yes to store the wheels is a huge problem for me.
