Missing wheel brace and jack
« on: June 06, 2020, 04:07:29 pm »
Hi,
Just bought a 500 Abarth, In the pressed foam section in the boot,I only seem to have the air compressor a tow bolt and a screwdriver.
Am I correct in thinking there should be a wheel brace and a jack?
Many thanks,
Martin.

There's no spare or space saver, so the thinking is that you don't need a jack or wheel brace to change a wheel that you don't have.

So, unfortunately, I don't think you are correct, sorry.

There should be some squirt to get you home, its the last resort

You have to make sure that you have AA/RAC/Greenflag, or some other cover because if you have a puncture, you're screwed. I was paranoid about punctures, don't ignore the the TPMS.

Some people have got a space-saver or 500 pop steely and jack to get them home.

I think its annoying that nearly all manufacturers don't supply spare wheels, the excuse is that it saves weight and therefore helps emissions (a bit tenuous if you ask me)

You have another reason to drive around the pot holes :-X
