Rambo brakes?! Not sure I'd trust those... :D

Assuming you mean Brembos, I've been looking into that myself and the general consensus is it has to be Tributo or esseesse wheels unless you want to use spacers.

    Anyone come across Mak XLRs?

Looks like they may be a decent lightweight wheel which fit over Brembos, at least according to the sales blurb...

Just got my Maks through today, unfortunately delayed by almost a week so timed almost perfectly to ensure I can't test them (the front end of my car's in bits pending me finishing it, which I can't do because I have a nasty cold), but I'll update further if they do fit over the Brembos...

According to my bathroom scales they weigh 7.9kg (17x7, Abarth fitting) including centre cap, I believe the standard Turismo come in at about 10kg so that's a good 2kg per wheel saved...

Just got to check which will fit over Brembos (I'll be annoyed if the Tursimo do and the Maks don't; watch this space...

    Jonqpr,
What are you looking for with regard to style?
    How deep is your pocket?
    Some might say love.........
     ??? ??? ???
Look at JR Wheels, or an agent of theirs.
     :thumb: :thumb:
They sell them in sets of 4 with some well under a grand!
Dont ask me for advice, if I see a wheel style I like and want, I find the price.
Then look for good seconds to refurbish or another make of similar design.
I've made up my mind what wheels I'm buying.
    Watch this space!
If I go for new tyres as well, it'll be just shy of 2 grand!

But its the look that I want and Im prepared to pay for that look even if it means saving for another 3 - 4 months.
Its about what you want, your appreciation of style etc.
Dont for get, less is more.
    Subtle with a stance.
I have the standard genuine 17" petal alloys on my 595 that were recently refurbished prior to the purchase of the vehicle.
Theyll do until im ready to fit all the suspension mods in one go!
By the way, none of my cars or motor bike stay standard for long.
But, theres always a but, with all due respect, if you cant find a set of 17" alloys then you must be on a very tight budget or looking in the wrong places!
Search Ebay for Abarth 595 17" alloy wheels, and you'll find page after page of them.
Genuine standard factory fit to genuine factory accessory to after market ones.
    Just be careful.
If it's new plus cheap and chearful, they could be snide and they tend to break!
If budget is the issue, save for anoth few months and get what you want instead of being impatient and buying sh*te that you dont want and regret buying!
    Total false economy
sh*te condition alloys, of the correct size, ET (offset) and bolt pattern (4x98, 4x100 do fit with wobble bolts), and the right price, get them if they are what you want.
There are so many out there refurbishing alloy wheels these days and powder coating its ridiculous.
Again, you get what you pay for.
If someones charging £50 per wheel for a full reburbishment, that sounds a bit cheap.
I'd expect topay £50 for the refurbishment, then at least £25 - £45 plus per wheel for powder coating.
But, I've been modifiying etc for many years.
I'm 60 and still love my speed, power and look of my cars and motor bikes! (it'll most probaly be my last car that I buy).
But it'll look like I want it to and go like I want it to.
Once all this is in ya blood mate, it's there for good.
Once a biker, always a biker.
Once you find a way to stamping your mark on a vehicle of any kind, you'll do it time an again.
    Stay with it.
    Good Luck
    Stay Safer

Hello! I can confirm that the MAK XLR's fit over BREMBOs without issues :)
