New owner of Abarth 500
« on: April 17, 2020, 03:09:29 pm »
Hi all I have just bought a 2015 Abarth 500 in the lovely campovolo grey. I want to increase the power and general experience of the drive. Power and sound included.i had a read through and it seems the best place to start is the blues park tuning box. What is everyone's thoughts on this and does it really give an extra 35ish hp that's stated on their website? Thanks Phil

To follow up - it will give you 15hp on a 180 hp comp, not sure about other models.

Okay thanks. I thought 35 was a bit on the high side. Still worth doing then I would say.

I have just ordered my Bluespark today for my 595/145bhp, seem to have good reviews, will fit this week hopefully and let you know the difference..

Fitted the Bluespark this morning, tested on setting C and couldn’t make my mind up whether it was pulling more or whether it was in my mind, it seemed quicker, got back home and changed to setting D, yes it’s quicker, a lot quicker!

Brilliant I'm glad it's made yours faster! I will certainly be ordering. I'm sure it will state when it arrives but I wondered how you changed the settings? Is it easy to do?

Yes in the box there are five sets of dual pins with a jumper bar, you just move the jumper bar over to the next set of pins closer to the led lights, there will be a full instruction sheet in the box that tells you anyway..

Incidentally the YouTube videos of some of the North East Abarth club that had a group day at Bluespark had dyno runs and the 145 bhp made 172bhp with an increase in torque from 249 to 300nm..
It certainly made hell of a difference to mine that for sure.
