i quite often get "i like your car" which is ok, then i get "looks very nice" which is again ok, then i get "its very cute" :thumbd:, no its a 'tidy' car, its not cute, cute is for girls :D at least they like what they see even if they don't know what it is.

i've got a duxford meet photo on my desktop at work and 1 of my managers said "is that where you picked ur car up from? and why are ther planes there?" thinking i picked my car up from some bizzare car supermarket, lol if only he knew  ;D :whistle:

    just had a friendly argument with my mate who drives a audi a3.he cant understand why iv forked out almost 13k on a car.he was saying i could of done what he did and bought an a3 for 8k 2nd hand.or a top spec a3 2nd hand for the same money as the abarth. then he was saying how he gets looks in the a3 and he kept saying nobody knows what an abarth is etc and saying he thinks the a3 is  cooler.each to there oppinion but.. ???.is he mad?haha.

    Right, let's get this straight:  any Abarth car is a girl's car, if you drive it right!  Abarth has taken me from being a girl to being a woman.  And don't get me wrong.  Abarth cars need to run.  Fast.  I am the first person to acknowledge that I get a lot of hassle from women in a 4-wheel drive, but I drive better.  Girl's car is not an insult. it's a privilege.  Look at my 22,000 miles GPA and drool.  My Scorpion rocks, and it does get the right treatment.

    A3 is boring ..looks like a golf ..and there slow.. ask the S3 driver who i left behind...  :whistle: its all about power to weight and at nearly 1500 kg and with 4 wheel drive sapping power its bye bye audi  :thumb:

    I dont mind people saying my cars cute.. women say that to me..  just before they f**k me ..  :whistle:

    I wasnt going to add this as it is an incredibly sweeping statement..   ;D but.. imho.. the vast majority of people who buy small audis and golfs are badge snobs who buy them because they are in the mistaken belief.. people will look at them and think they are cool/well educated/well bred/getting on in life.. for having one. Thats why they look at you with a sense of smug satisfaction when they say ..ive got a golf... what do you drive.. who do you work for .. etc. What this translates to is: ..how big are your repayments ..im a total di****ad with bad breath... and now im going to stand really close to you and try and sell you insurance.  ::)


    By contrast most Abarth owners can think for themselves and make choices based on what IS a good / fun/ exciting/ well built/ really good looking cool car. Abarth cars and especially the retro Abarth 500 (even the fiat 500) are the IT cars of the moment, thats why there all sold out, thats why celebs want them.. because they really are cool... not just another boring german box with a shiny badge on the front...  just my opinion .. :whistle:

    My other half has an Audi S3. It is a good car; nimble; corners like it's on rails; and great acceleration 30 - 50 mph. However, it lacks the excitement factor for me. Given your A3 driving mate can't be having as much fun as the S3, I'd say you have the last laugh. Oh, and cheap trick with the "look at my cute car" chat up line, women aren't all that stupid.....

    hahaa! nice signature ;D Ive actually started to pity mini drivers.. they always look over with this really sad depressed look on their faces.. like they know theyve bought the wrong car  :'( 

    lol i dont use chat up lines and if i did i wouldnt use my car to pull, had enough gold diggers following me round while driving exotics to know you dont want to know those type of girls, even for a quick sh*g as theyll only try and pop a kid on you hahaa!

    I really like some audis especially the convertables in white and the r8's. And there doing a good job at lamborghini recently too! ;D

    I think you've caught the zeitgeist there BOB (for any A3 owners, that means the ideas prevalent in a period and place). :thumb:

    LOL!! Very true! However my uncle (who is gay) looked at my car and the F500's and only wants one so he can cuddle it ::)
