Have got private plates on both my cars have BE07ORD on the A500 and CN02 BED on other my surname is Bedford and second is initials, 2nd car and bed for the surname, both look good when the cars are together. They dont have to cost loads either I think the 1st was £399 and second was £249. Have had them both a few years now. It is a pain when you change cars £80 a go!
Now that I'm a grown up I drive a sensible grey 595 Competizione with grey leather sabelt seats and yellow brake calipers. It's jolly nice! It's got a name - ' Razzogrigio' Now with a custom S/S group N style exhaust, black Esseesse wheels and a GTT induction kit, all sitting on Eibach springs.

Campovolo Grey Abarth 500 & Volvo V50 T5. Lots of plans for the 500 :)

The warranty could have definitely helped the brakes, if you were careful.

I always HATED private plates. Thought they symbolized wastefulness, lack of awareness of world poverty, superficiality, vanity and smugness.

Then this week I paid three hundred quid for S5 VFB (wife has an SS, the rest is her initials).

We can now add that these plates are for hypocrites!

Never really got into the registration plates that are deliberately altered to show something completely different to original.

Like the ones that people have identified as being able to mean something tangible to their specific car without the trickery.

Personal preference is for a plate that  doesn't cost a fortune and doesn't necessarily mean anything at all (let's face it if you have your initials very few people will be able to recognise that fact), but makes the car year unspecific. (is that actually a real word?).

My cars not got a special number but I got it made up with the SCO and flag on the left, red border, and red lettering underneath saying "Abarth Esseesse 160bhp" Apparently that makes it illegal but what are the chances of the police noticing that :P

Always likes the Viz top tip:

"Why spend a fortune on buying personalised number plates when it is cheaper and easier to simply change your name, from Mr RJ10 DFG"
Red A500 SS, Monza exhaust, black leather, white mirrors, Koni FSDs. Not sure what happens under the bonnet but the car still keeps me smiling......must avoid the technical engine-type posts...
