Semi Automatic Gearbox
« on: December 14, 2021, 07:01:09 pm »
Hello All, does anyone know if the semi-automatic gearbox has it's own control unit or is it controlled from the engine ECU?
TIA,
Dave.

Looking at the drawings it seems to have its own ecu mounted on the Transmission.

Thanks JL-C for your reply. The reason for the question is that I accidently bricked the ECU in my 595 manual transmission car by trying to flash a tuning file and the flashing process failed. I bought another ECU from Ebay
but it was from an automatic car, so I took a chance and flashed my backups to the "new" ECU, and my car works again, so it looks as if the only difference between manual and automatic ECU's is the software. This is the newer
    type of ECU btw, ME17.3.0

    Regards,
    Dave.
