Stolen 595
« on: March 04, 2021, 01:55:07 pm »
We had our 595 comp stolen in broad daylight from a car park in Coventry yesterday, luckily it was found a couple of miles away later that day.

The back of it has been ripped out to try and find the tracker, that didn't exist. Likewise a few covers inside the car are also missing - likely started by the ODB port. One alloy has been chewed by a kerb but that is almost all of the damage that's visible.

Has anyone else had theirs stolen and recovered?

Sorry to hear that, did you have any security on it such as a steering wheel cover lock?

I had my previous 595 stolen overnight - was never recovered, I waited two years (regretted greatly buying a Mini Cooper S in between) and then bought another 595 recently which has two bits of security on it always, a visual deterrent if nothing else.

I understand these cars are nearly always stolen via the OBD port there are a variety of port blockers or port re-relocation kits available if you Google/eBay for them l fitted a port blocker cost about £60 easy to fit.
