Supreme reliability
« on: April 11, 2015, 06:45:37 pm »
My A500C Esseesse MTA has just passed it's first MOT.

It has been the most reliable car I've owned. :thumb:

Just one inconvenience in three years, the roof refused to open.

I'm totally impressed. Trouble is, it makes it more difficult to contemplate a PX. ???

I wish I could say the same about my Turismo, in the 2 years I have owned it I have been back to the dealer with 4 warranty issues and a recall. Glad yours has been so reliable  8)

The car I owned before was an mx5, nearly 3 years old when I bought it and in the 7 years of ownership,  I never had one problem, and it passed the mot every year with no advisories.

Thats great to hear :) .What mileage is it on?

I do think theyre well put to gether to be honest. The plastics seem alot more sturdier and stiffer and have less wobble compared to my brothers volvo c30.The plastics in the volve seem more flexible, but the 500s plastics are harder and have less flexibility.
Now with added monza fun :P

2nd MOT due this month, 20K had it since 9K. Money spent on it besides normal wear and tear Tyres, filters. Nowt. One difference is mine ain't gone nowhere near a dealer since I owned it. I buy all genuine parts myself and a independent fits them. Moral of the story well  'lucky' brought 2nd hand, way its looked after. 'Dealer avoidance'. all a dealer has done to mine is fit a esseesse kit at 10mls and low milage service at 8,045 even that was wrong.
So I do not hold the dealer stamp in as much high regard as some.
I know still plenty of time to get my fingers burnt.

Sometimes you just have to be lucky with these things but, ive owned a 595 comp, my current Supersport, along with my fathers Abarth Evo, 595c Turismo and my brothers 500 SS and we haven't had anything go wrong. Just serviced at correct intervals and careful driving  ;)
