How easy would it be to make a 500 Assetto Corse road legal?  ???

Would it be worth it? Has anyone done it?

On some thread on here from some meeting/event there were pictures of a road-legal AC.
How difficult it is, no idea. Not a clue on how that things work here in the UK.

I keep looking back at the two tone T the red and grey could well be my next car. Sort this out Mr 501 I feel a trade in coming on   :thumb:
Now that I'm a grown up I drive a sensible grey 595 Competizione with grey leather sabelt seats and yellow brake calipers. It's jolly nice! It's got a name - ' Razzogrigio' Now with a custom S/S group N style exhaust, black Esseesse wheels and a GTT induction kit, all sitting on Eibach springs.

A great gallery from the Bologne Show:

    http://www.motori.it/immagini/4350-1/stand-abarth-motor-show-2011.html?foto

looks like the Turismo might have flock on the doors as well as the dash (not sure about that)

My ideal would be the Turismo with manual gearbox (& petals) or Competizione without the tan leather

Still doesn't seem to be any word on prices - even in Euro land

At least the girls are making the effort to smile.

I'm not convinced with the flock dash. Reminds me of 70's wallpaper.

I saw a post which suggested an Italian price of €26k (not sure which 595 version this price referred to) versus a price of €19k for a regular A500.

If the price is correct my calculations would translate to approx £20k here. But then we might have to factor in the rip off Britain factor.

I think the whole thing is pretty questionable..... ???

Simon, The A500 is cheaper here (taking in various exchange rates) than anywhere in Europe.
Dont forget that the A500 has not had a price increae (except the VAT rise) since launch when the Fiat version has gone up almost £2000 in the same period.

So are you expecting a straight £ to € pricing? (assuming there is any truth in the €26k figure)

    No, the other way around.
I doubt it will be anywhere near the £26K mark.

Well I love it.   Ignoring what it will cost - that interior with the brown Sabelts is superb.
