Dealer has been in touch with Abarth technical in Turin .im supposed to be having new modified springs! As the ss ones might not be working with the konis properly! Waiting to have them fitted to see if it sorts the knocking issue.. If they don't anyone's guess what happens after that but I'm not going to put up with it till its sorted . Will pass on news as to how things are going. I know this has been an issue for a few people :thumbd:

My 595 Turismo is booked in Wednesday to have new Koni's and springs fitted. This will be the second Koni's I've had fitted but this time new springs as well. My dad's 595 Turismo is having the same work done as well!

Hopefully this will be the last time I have to drive to Stoke (Platts)!!!

Well I picked ours up from John down at Vospers in Plymouth last Saturday - a pleasure to deal with, by the way, and worth the 500 mile round trip from London.  Cheers, John.

It never ceases to amaze me John, you must have some appeal

If I order a turismo with red sabelt seats will the back be red leather?
Sat in a turismo the other day which had full red leather but not sabelts was beutifull.
I know you get black rear seats in the comp if you order red fronts.

Well all I've had the new modified springs fitted today in the faint hope they sort the rear knocking konis! Well so far it seems that knocking at low speeds is less that's when it was most noticeable. I've got to run the car for a couple of weeks and then let the dealer know how I've got on. One thing though ..the ride at the rear is much better less crashy  and the car feels better balanced. Will see how it goes and report back.

Is yours a 595?  Asking as I have the modified springs with silicone sheath, but the is still a faint rattle on the rebound over even surfaces rather than pot holes, but can't decide if that's just noisy suspension or hitting the bumpstops.  Local dealer bloke could hear it at all so not sure it's normal?  The wife's 08 R32 does something similar now and again.

Sorry Nadeem for delay in replying been away! Yep mine is a 595 comp and does have the silicone sheath on the springs. Waiting to hear what happens next. I've heard BIlsteins are good but think it will affect my warranty if I put them on. On another note does anyone know if the oil change is at 6k on the 595? Same as the ss?

I'm not so sure, I think it is just assumption, the new manuals still only indicate a 6000 oil change for SS adapted vehicles, the 595 is not mentioned as being different to a standard 500.

Until Abarth release service advice in black and white, it's all assumption on behalf of the dealers interpretation of the published facts.  Hopefully sorted by the time mine does 6000 miles

Same confusion at my dealers. They agreed that as the ECU upgrade was basically the same as the essseesse then the same servicing parameters should apply. However, they also said that there was paperwork to substantiate the earlier oil and filter changes for the SS but nothing had been sent through for the 595 variants. Because of this I have been told that unless anything different is released then they would expect the normal A500 service intervals to apply.

It would be great to hear back from John as to whether any further info is available.
