Oh god yeah. The first version was embarassing really, those awful £2 stick on shields and a bit of paint and £5k on the asking price. The next one, a lot better, but this is really, really lovely. It's certainly aimed at well heeled buyers and from the reactions I've seen at a few main Ferrari dealers on the older models, they will probably easily sell all they have on offer.

It's a pity the price isn't a bit more realistic ie late 20's as they could probably sell quite a lot of these. If it's a halo car as it appears to be, then the price is ok, you just have to wonder where Abarth can go now price wise as this sets the bar, price wise, very high. If they ever put a much more powerful engine in, what price are they going to punt it at?!
As Keith Richards tells it, Jones came up with the name "The Rollin' Stones" (later with the 'g') while on the phone with a venue owner. "The voice on the other end of the line obviously said, 'What are you called?' Panic. The Best of Muddy Waters album was lying on the floor—and track one was 'Rollin' Stone Blues'".

I can't quite make out what the top button is on the area where the gear lever normally sits. The lower button is to activate reverse gear the same as in a Ferrari or Maserati. Perhaps the top one is for a Launch Control system like the Ferrari F1 box has. That would be fun but will quickly fry the clutch if used frequently.

Top one looks like neutral selection, rather than the usual method of pulling on both paddles.

I read somewhere it will be around 17.5k. May buy one instead of an SS. Speccing up an SS to my liking will cost me 18.5k so not much in it. That interior is stunning. Would prefer a manual box though

If that costs anything less than 25k ill be stunned.

Look at Abarths track record - they want a couple of K for bucket seats and 1500quid for a mild steel exhaust!

The recent Ferrari edition A500 was being sold for north of £26k so there is no chance this one will be anything like £17.5k with all of the specially designed features on it. Re-engineering the gearbox alone to a paddleshift version will have cost a lot of money due to the automated clutch that is required. The rumour of 40k euros before local taxes sounds much more realistic so expect a price tag of at least £40k if it is even sold via UK Ferrari dealers. At the sort of production numbers they are likely to make I doubt if any will make it onto the open market.

You must have been dreaming Mouse. Considering the price/spec/availability of the 0 a 100, Iain500 is probably correct with his estimate.

If it was just billed as an A695, I would have walked over broken glass to secure one but the Ferrari associations/deference put me off :thumbd:.

It's an uprated version of the existing C510 unit, as I understand it.  Plus an automated change mechanism.

Of course, the c510 gearbox was fitted to the Stilo Abarth with Selespeed gearchange. That's what the new 695 Tributo will have. Nothing new, then, in the Fiat parts bin!

Interesting that the quoted torque output is 230 Nm.It could easily be considerably more with that engine spec. Limited for driveability or the gearbox??

Those stripes look gold coloured in the pic.  I presume it's just the light.
