Turning left dreaded esp unavailable.
« on: June 27, 2021, 01:10:46 am »
Hi guys, first post here.
I have a 2013 abarth 500c - ever since we bought it it's had the esp unavailable, hill stop unavailable & sometimes fuel cut off unavailable codes come up.
I've put a new batter on, new brake light switch and fixed a broken numberplate light cable however none of that has worked.
I've noticed that all of these fault codes only come on when I turn left, why and what could this be?

TIA.
Ollie

    Hi Ollie,

Thinking out loud, the esp unavailable and hill stop unavailable could be an ABS sensor? if it only happens when turning left, the wire could be tight and pulling on it? again just thinking out loud. Have you used anything like MultiECUscan to have a look at any potential codes?

100% the ABS sensor. Somebody damaged it while changing the brakes. Cheap and easy fix. The sensor it self is about 15 pound and any mechanic can change it in 10 min, if you don't want to do it yourself in the driveway.
