Morning all,

Got this text through and it's asking me to call a number to find out more, anyone know what this might be to do with? Bought it in January, so first service not due just yet; anyone else had this? Odd!

    Ah right, now got an accompanying email:

    "5931 ABARTH 500 WITH MTA GEARBOX - GEARBOX CONTROL CABLE"

    Seems like a recall for some owners with MTA gearbox on their A500.

    Sounds like an expensive phone call scam. Call your local dealer and ask them, they should know about any recalls current.

    Spoke to the dealer, apparently it's legitimate and so I need to book it in!

    It's free so fair enough, don't want the gearbox giving up on me!

    Mine had a service recall for a wiring harness around the steering column. Two second job so it wasn't rubbing. Not sure if it's the same thing, let us know

    For anyone who's interested, got a letter from Abarth through the post.

    Apparently the car needs a whole new gearbox because of some cable that's being recalled!

    Wondering if this has anything to do with the issues I've had lately, this thread:

    According to the letter from Abarth, the recall is to prevent issues with gear changes and selection.

    So yeah, if you've got a 2015 A500 with MTA gearbox, you will probably be getting a letter through soon!
