That 124GT is some handsome car.

Very sorely tempted.

Not tempted by the hardtop but that colour !!!  If its anything like that pearl grey on the Alfa Giuiletta I would be a wee bit jealous.  Since dropping the Isola Blue from the range I really am not inspired by any of the current choices

There needs to be a Campovolo 124 !!! ya hear me Fiat ??

Really not a fan of the hard top :( One of the things I love about the soft top is if I'm driving and the sun comes out, it's about 5 seconds to lose the roof!

I also don't understand their trim levels. The scorpione was basically a cheaper "cut down" model to hit a price point - it should never really have existed. IMO they should have:

     - Lost the automatic option. Nobody who's driven it would choose it outside of the US.
     - Lost the scorpione option. These cars are expensive enough, don't skimp on leather seats!
     - Added the Turismo as a second option - maybe 20 more horsepower, few extras as standard.

I wonder if it'll be possible to fit the hardtop on the soft top model, like on a Boxster
Abarth Grande Punto, White, Stripes, Climate, Standard Wheels.

Worth exploring as the 124GT still has the soft top fitted and the hard top is removable.

Interests me, I currently drive my MX5 with hardtop attached, I would want the soft top removed for a half cage though :)

The Italian prices have now been announced. From 42.500€ with a manual gearbox, and from 44.500€ for the automatic version. So a 3.500€ premium over the Turismo/Heritage version.

    32.500£ ?

Could be quite expensive by the look of the Euro price.

Now there are a couple of walkaround videos on Youtube. Looks great :)

4k promotion on the Italian Abarth-site meaning the price is fr. 38.500€ . Not too bad...

In a review on the top gear-site an Abarth insider also talks about a 190-200bhp version as the next release. He/she said that the 187bhp version from the biposto wouldnt be a leap big enough so I guess they will release a 195-200bhp version.

Performance in line with the 695 biposto can be expected, or a bit faster even. 5.7-5.9s/ 0-100m.

Not quite sure what the GT is all about, if the soft top was rubbish then maybe, but it clearly isnt, seconds to get up and down, looks good and very little wind noise at speed, The GT therefore has ridiculous disadvantages. So you go on your grand tour of say Scotland which is where I am going with my Blue Heritage Abarth in a few weeks. Sun comes out I am top off in seconds, what are you supposed to do with a hardtop. This is my first Fiat, bought because I liked the look of the car because it reminded me my first car a Datsun 240Z. Strikes me that if Fiat are going to keep bringing out pointless special editions then all they are going to achieve is devaluing the car that their customers have bought and put their faith in. The car is already overpriced and are being sold considerably cheaper than retail. They should be concentratjng their efforts elsewhere rather than bringing out things like this.

    Agreed!

Do notsee the point of it. Personally i would of liked to see a retractable metal roof like the mx5 has (those butreses look great).

Ive been getting annoyed at the way abarth are going the last few years...ive had my a500 8 years and it was like a special occasion going far to dealers making them very rare...it made the brand niche and i could justify the prices...but last 4 years..with the silly amount of limted different variations, skimping on kit, bumping the price up, letting arnold clark sell them with stupid pcp prices..its devaluing the brand .Really annoyed!
