124 Owners?
« on: February 01, 2017, 11:11:22 am »
Doesn't seem to be an owners thread here - has anybody got their A124 yet?

Very excited to be getting mine delivered hopefully this/next week. Would be interesting to see if anyone has gone for the auto box? After test driving both I agreed with the reviews saying the manual was the way to go.

Got mine today - absolutely fantastic, love it to bits.

Only problem was that the SD card for the Nav was missing (there seemed to be confusion as to whether or not it should be there), but since the car was advertised with Nav the dealer is ordering a new card.

It's much easier to park than I thought it'd be too!

You are lucky because those cards are about £300 extra!  :thumb:

I don't own one, but I have driven one and loved it  :thumb:

Picked up the card today (arrived very quickly!).

Sat nav is actually pretty good - seems to be much faster than the one on the jeep (which I assume is the same as the current crop of fiats).

Only oddity is that it doesn't have the ability to enter postcodes (which is strange), but it does address auto-completion, so I managed to pick up my town/street in about 7 characters. Also can't seem to get the speed-camera alert to work (which would be handy - living in southend they're bloody everywhere to trap tourists). Have to have a dig around in the settings.

I'm new to the forum but have been cutting my teeth on a Punto Abarth 1st series which has served me very well for the last 8 years. I've donated that to my granddaughter so went and bought myself a 124 Spider which I think is an absolute hoot. The easiest car ever to drive since my old Bertone Alfa and much better than Ferrri's I've owned in the past.

What I really want to know is where does the SD card go for the sat nav? I have poked around a bit but cant' spot a port and neither the Abarth Configurator or the Owners Manual tell you much. Are the cars already configured for Sat Nav or is there a retro dealer fitting charge to add to the £300 SD card?

The SD card goes under the little plastic cover by the USB ports/aux in (there's a plastic "bump" - it's behind there).

On mine there was a small white plastic strip to help you open it.

Behind the plastic cover to the left of the USB ports!
