Hi,
I've placed my order for the 124, due to be delivered in September.
Black, with matte bonnet & boot.
Happy to share whatever details are of interest.

I was originally dissuaded by the maintenance required by matte paint, but I understand the matte panels are a wrap.

    Hi,

Pricing is circa $50k. Depends on the dollar and a few other things, but that's what I've been told to expect.
Lots of stories suggesting 50 might be a drive away price though.
There are five coming to SA, two black two red and a white from memory. Three of the five have already been secured.

Which Maserati are you looking at? A Gransport?
I think it's interesting which cars people cross shop between. Not always obvious choices.

For me, I was choosing between a 124,  MX5 (new), 987 Boxster (used), Elise (used) and a Defender!

That's a great price IMO, I would pay that for it.

BUT, that's around 25k in UK money. Again, yet another non EU country that's getting the 124 Abarth for 5k less.......

We are being charged 61k AUD in comparison for the same car.....INSANE!

Whilst the headline price is important, most people will opt to take some sort of finance on a car of that value.
Figures can be played with in the background by FCA and I'm sure they will do something where the GFV is adjusted, APR is artificially low or a deposit allowance will actually bring the price down.
For the cash customer, a 0% 50-50 deal has already been discussed and could also come with some form of deposit allowance.
Until the finance deal is published this is just speculation but I feel confident that the deal will look attractive enough to lure people in. At the end of the day Abarth want these cars on the road, there is no better way to advertise a vehicle than for people to see it being driven  :thumb:

I'll happily drive one if Abarth wants to give me one :p Reckon I'd have to get an even bigger trophy cabinet taking one of these out on hill climbs and sprints 8)

When do they hit showrooms in the UK?
