Screen Washer Jets
« on: September 11, 2022, 08:47:56 am »
Hoping someone here can help please.
My screen wash jets are both just drizzling out, no spray at all out of either side. The pump is working and the hoses aren't leaking anywhere. Thought that they may be blocked, so tried the 'pin trick' but that did nothing
Just can't figure out what the problem is. This was a gradual thing, the spray got less and less, until now it's just weeping out of both sides. Anyone got any ideas, please?

My experience of washer fluid, after a while it turns to a jelly substance and blocks the pump inlet.

Try removing the water tank and remove the pump which is underneath.

I've got the exact same problem (and posted on the 124 spider forum this morning).

I'll see if I can get the tank out today if I can find time.

I've found the issue. There is a one way valve that is letting very little through. It's buried deep underneath the plastic trim under the wipers. Had to remove the wipers and the plastic trim and then could get access to the valve. As this might happen again, I moved the one way valve to a more accessible location and where it was, put a normal connector.

Hope all that makes sense. I really should have taken some photos.

    Thank you for both responses.
I will check out both of these suggestions, hopefully one of them will give me a resolution
