Abarth Spyder

Oh I currently have no performance upgrades …….as yet, waiting on getting some more kms under her belts, making sure she is alright outta the factory before I start tinkering.  All being right I will start modding – following the same route that I did with my A5oo. Basically;
•   Better wheels (I loathe the OEM) – something definitely lighter
•   Lowering springs – needs it visually, but nothing to aggressive, probably Eibach Pros
•   Exhaust, larger central pipe including a 200 cell, but with a resonator, probably Ragazzon
•   Intake upgrade
•   GFB DV+
•   Tune – from EuroCompulsion handheld
•   Aim is to get to somewhere between 200 & 220 bhp

Then I think I will stop there as I am not interested in outright power at the expense of driveability.  I am a bit wary of big Turbo upgrades complete with big FMIC, injectors, etc.   Sure they may make headline numbers, but there is a very real risk that the delivery may be a bit OFF-ON with lotza lag – not my thing but can understand the appeal.  Though I am keen to see what a hybrid Garrett 1446 may do (my cunning subconscious thinking is maybe get the hybrid Garrett 1446 and swap out the original Garrett 1446 from the A124 into my A5oo)

PS: I am not Carlo

    Don't write off turbo's so quickly. All I have is a tune and a GT1752. The lag is no different and the power up top is MUCH stronger than the GT1446 even with a tune. The car feels as though this is the power number it should have been putting out from the start.
