Title: RWD in the snow
Post by: Carcluster on March 20, 2018, 06:38:22 pm
Any comments on the 124 Spider in these snowy and icy conditions? Does the lightness and balance make it less tricky than it could potentially be? Our household just traded in our 2012 MX-5 for an Ateca 4WD. I only had one slight twitch on a wet roundabout several years ago - the peril of having a FWD Clio RS as my regular wheels.

A set of winter tyres are the only way to go following the weather we have had this year. While they are also good in standing water, we do not get such a bad winter, here in the UK every year.

No Problem with a good set of wintertyres. I use Hankooks. Only thing in sportmode you have on icy roads push the gaspedal carefully ;-)  ;D or you learn to drift...

Never mind RWD, I couldn't get in my 124 when it was really bad - doors/windows froze up and I couldn't open them  ;D

Gave up in the end as I didn't want to risk tearing off a piece of trim.
