Traffic alerts driving me mad...
« on: March 21, 2018, 09:34:52 pm »
Apologies for the dumb question but how do you turn off TA?

It’s really annoying! I’ve hit the button for TA off in the menu of the DAB and FM radio but they still keep popping up and interrupting me. I’m normally streaming by Bluetooth at a much higher volume so the TA come blaring out at an uncomfortable volume which makes it worse.

Did anyone get a handbook with their car? Mine is in Italian which is hilarious really, so I have no reference info on the car. Was this my dealer being unhelpful or did Abarth really not create an English version?

Thanks in advance.
A500 launch edition, considering esseesse..

My advice, take it back to the dealer and tell them the car is not fit for purpose and then demand a replacement vehicle with a handbook in English  :thumb:

Seriously though mine is in English, yours is obviously a mistake so go to dealer and ask if they can replacement.
I’ll have a look at it later to see if I can help with the TA problem

I know this is an old topic but I've only just joined the forum.......

Had exactly the same issue on my Fiat 124 Lusso Plus spec. Read the manuals, re-read the manuals, searched every menu option possible, searched on-line, everything an no success.

However just as an absolute last-ditch attempt to stop me ripping the screen off the dash and lobbing it out the window I turned the TA option from 'off' to 'on' and............the announcements stopped.

How/why this works can only be surmised that something lost in translation or logic on the screen menu but it fixed my issue.

I too have only recently started posting, hence the very late reply.
With regard to the apparently counterintuitive TA button mentioned in the previous reply, I've noticed a similar effect with the button marked 2D on the sat nav screen. The label seems to indicate the result of pressing the button: i.e. a jab to that area of the screen will take you from the current 3D view to a new one in 2D.
I suppose it's logical when you come to think about it!

    Hi

    RE Handbook

The dealer did not have a handbook for me, which was a bit odd. However you can download a PDF copy off the internet. If you get stuck PM me and I’ll forward you mine.... it’s in English too. Dealer said none were available. Hope this helps.
