APE air filter
« on: September 03, 2014, 10:43:24 am »
I want to get a new filter for my car. Looking at the bmc panel filter or the cone.
Do you think the cone is worth the extra money?

Depends if you want noise or performance?

The cone will be louder and will emphasise the waste gate chatter.

The panel filter will arguably give better performance but not as much chatter.

    Just going for noise mainly
Dont think I can justify paying the extra

Are there any filters that you would recommend?

I'm a keen supporter of keeping things OEM, so I'd say BMC panel filter..

I've had one in both cars (AGP Esseesse and Supersport) and can't really fault them

I spoke to Angel Tuning the other day and they told me they made a custom ITG filter with a cold air feed, they remove the airbox and attached a cold feed from one of the vent on the bonnet, they are in the middle of getting it remade and should be costing less money as the guy said they are dropping half of the equipment they used before.
