I think its more than £200 but its encased in real carbon fibre. I had a Pipercross Viper many many years ago and that was about £200 because it also had a carbon fibre case.

ah ok think its the one i was looking at on TMC motorsport but just couldnt bring myself to spend that much on an induction when u can get it for more than half the price when it makes the same noise.

I was thinking of leaving my Supersport alone as it has the BMC filter as std. But after reading this I might look into the induction kit route. I fitted the forge blow off adapter and that's great with the std. Induction noise. Would sound awesome with an induction kit. Cheers chris.

The TMC one was what I was leaning towards, but now the only real benefit, the heat shield feels like an expensive feature when you make that point. I wonder how easy it would be to make a DIY heat shield.

Since you already have the BMC panel filter, a cheaper option is to drill some holes in the air filter box. It will make it louder since the only real difference besides shape is that the panel filter is enclosed whereas the induction kit is open.

That's not a bad idea. Will look into that, cheers.

Does anyone know which Induction Kit is best for the SuperSport? I've seen threads saying K&N, BMC, Forge? Just wondering which one is best and where the best place to get it form is. I know the SuperSport has a BMC panel filter but would probably get better performance from a cone filter? Any suggestions :)

Also does it affect warranty if its changed?

Any change will void your warranty but only on affected parts (engine, turbo)..

That is assuming you don't swap the parts back before taking it in if there's something wrong...

Open cone in the engine bay will sound good but won't give you the best performance due to heatsoak (although people will argue about this till the cows come home).

An enclosed system with a direct fresh air feed will give you the best results but it's hard finding a system that'll fit as the RHD EVO has a fluid reservoir taking up valuable space.

At the end of the day it's entirely down to you :thumb:
