I was asking the 500 guys where the breaking limit was in the t-jet engines before having to build the engine. I drive a north american 500 so I have the same engine as you folks but to my knowledge, the t-jet and multiair share a bottom end or at least the same rods and pistons (hence the TMC piston and rod set being interchangeable).
What's the highest horsepower APE out there at this point? So far on the north american market, there are some lofty unsubstantiated claims that simply are not true. For example the RRM (Road Race Motorsports) Abarth claims 250 but when you put a car on the dyno that has their complete mod kit, it only shows 188 at the front wheels.
Mine is currently sitting at 230 hp at the front wheels using a Mitsubishi Super 16G turbo. It's being intentionally held back right now simply as the engine could easily blow if the power band was allowed to continue growing to it's tuned redline (7500 rpm). It would easily hit 300 if it was left to go straight to redline. I've been running a raised redline for almost a year now and it has been running just fine. It was only set at 7k before the tuning was started for the big turbo. Anyhow... is there any sage like advice you folks could give me?
