extra power wanted
« on: May 05, 2014, 12:12:40 pm »
i would like to give my abarth a tad more oomph but remapopping on a laptop for £500 seems extreme.
i had the 500 abarth before and loved its sound but the punto abarth sounds bland.any suggestions for nice sounding exhaust/back box or filters for xtra bhp? and approx prices ish/ thx

I dont think any modifying will be cheap to be honest. I take it your car is a standard APE because my Supersport sounds awesome. The exhaust is deep and bassy and theres a lovely burble. You could always look out for second hand esseesse parts if yours is a standard car.

Well then I would advise an esseesse exhaust,BMC panel filter and remap because my car sounds awesome with those.

The filter wont be expensive but the exhaust will. You might be better off looking for a second hand unit maybe from a damaged car. The only problem with the Abarth Punto of any type is that its so rare. So you dont have a wide choice of second hand spares like you will have with the 500.

You can have a browse through the TMC website they will have everything you need.

try Angel tuning they stated an increase to 193bhp but with more torque their HQ is in reading but I think they have setups all over and it wont be £500, if you go to the HQ and state Abarthisti you can get it done for £250  :thumb:

another one is Celtic tuning who do similar work but slight more bhp but slightly less torque and they too charge between £200-300.

    hope that helped.
