Four new tyres
« on: August 21, 2013, 07:20:29 am »
At 35k it's time to change all four tyres. Fronts down to 3mm and one of the factory fitted rears is down to 4mm with age cracking on the side wall. So best that all four go together...

Have been using PZero Neros as factory fitted, but complete brand change an option.

Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 get a better Db and wet weather rating and are a shade cheaper.

Any experience of these on the APE?

Recommended a couple of tyres in this thread from a while back.

Think he ended up going with Goodyear Eagle F1 A2's :thumb:

    Thanks James,

The Goodyears seem to get better reviews than the Pirellis wherever I look.

Without a doubt. If those are the only two tyres you're considering, I'd go with the Goodyears every time!

If you can get Vredestein Sessanta's in the size you're after, I'd personally choose them for the dry grip alone. They stick like nothing else and put power down insanely well. If those aren't an option, Goodyear Eagle F1 A2's are a great choice.

I use Nokian tyres. Z G2 summer and WR G2 winter. Excellent performance and value. Read the reviews. :thumb:

IMO, I don't like Pirelli tyres. I think they are way overpriced.

When I changed my fronts I went for the Hancook V12 Evo's - Prefer  them loads more than the P Zero Neros.

    Have a look here http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/
