Title: Koni Kit
Post by: FullMetalScorpion on March 14, 2014, 10:23:19 pm
I was wondering if anybody knows how much the Koni kit is to fit from a dealer. It will probably be a lot cheaper to buy them myself and have a garage fit them. Ive heard the Koni kit makes the ride mega hard is this true? I dont mind the ride on my Supersport but I do think its a bit soft.

The ride with the Konis is actually better than the standard Abarth. Great investment. If you do get the Konis don't forget the springs too. If you can't find any Abarth esseesse ones ten go with h and r. Just my personal opinion and experience. I have full esseesse kit and it's a different car to drive. Also have h and r springs on a Meriva vxr and it's transformed that without loss of ride quality

That sounds good but I know its not going to be cheap. Im not sure how the warranty works but I bet an Abarth dealer has to fit the kit to not void it.

I think the Konis are about 500 notes. Springs from h and r are about 150. Will only void warrantee if the claim is for something directly affected by fitting shocks and springs.

Its still quite soft with Konis mind you, dual to the dual nature it can sometimes feel when driving normal that it still has lots of roll etc, but when chucking it about its fine, I sometime wonder if teh car would be better on Wks or Bilstiens in that it would always have the same nature (Firm) but then my car does make a comfortable commuter as it is.

I love my konis on my Supersport, well worth the money from the standard set up, some people have opinions on them but I've had no trouble and they are hard but not uncomftable and they have improved my car, just wish they came standard in the first place
