Spot lights
« on: December 12, 2013, 01:03:35 pm »
I live out in the sticks and have found the headlamp main beams very poor even with uprated bulbs fitted.  So I've fitted these Hella ff75 spotlights and have found they make a big difference.  Not as good as full-on rally spots but I didn't want to go down that route as they would have looked a bit OTT! Hope you like them and agree that they don't look too out of place.

They don't look out of place. Is there enough room to fit aftermarket HID bulbs, that would give you some real lighting power ;D

I don't know if they would fit or not but the standard H7s supplied seem quite good.  I may fit uprated ones at a later date just to see if they improve things even more.

Agreed they look good, how easy we're they to install?

The tricky bit was getting them to sit back far enough as they are quite deep. I took out the grill and made the cut-outs for the lights. I screwed them down onto the bumper before putting the grill back. It would have been easier if I had taken the whole front bumper assembly off but that seemed like a big job! As for the wiring that was simply a case of following the instructions. In all I guess it took me about half a day.
