While its not always guaranteed, generally a car that is quicker from to 0 to 60 will be quicker from 30 to 40 etc.

Just out of curiosity, are people aware how manufacturors obtain the 0-60 times? They literally rag the arse out of it and wrench it through the gears. There is no way anyone in their right mind would treat their own car in this way to get a timed 0-60 run.

So, your not going to be able to hit the published 0-60 time anyway... But, then neither is anyone else so I guess it's all relative.

I think we are getting a bit bogged down in 0 to 60 times here. My intention was to make the point that even if I did spend thousands on increasing the bhp it might not translate into much of a quicker 0 to 60 (or low end acceleration) anyway which is what I personally would want. Although not everybody agrees that the gearbox is a factor I personally believe that without changing it you wont see much gain as the ratios are all wrong (once again in my opinion). I can also understand that a lot of people dont care about 0 to 60 times in the first place. But as I also explained 0 to 60 times have always been used to indicate how fast a car is. How else are you supposed to tell (even if its in a very limited basic way) how fast a car is,test drive every single one in multiple situations with expensive stopwatches and timers? There must be some reason why other manufacturers cars are faster than the APE (some significantly so) even though they have about the same amount of power. The APE might be a heavier car but personally I suspect its mainly down to the gearbox and an engine thats too small for the car. It might be a valid point that the APE is quicker from 40 to 60 for example but the situations I find myself in where that might be useful is nill.

Anyway I just wish things were easier to tune like back in the day when I had my R5 Turbo, great times.

Numbers don't interest me at all what I want is the sensation of power my company car for the last two years was a mustang supersnake with 750 hp 980 nm it is not as fast as a lamborghini or a 458 but man if you push the throtle at 100 miles/ hour this thing still goes like a rocket and it feels 10 times more powerfull than a 458  my point is that you never have anough power and it all comes to the feeling of it and you can't really translate that in acceleration numbers that s why i intend to install 250 plus hp i just want the kick in the ass feeling that is all that matters

Hey guys, don't forget about our trusty Ultimate ECM, it was designed for the MultiAir (all other boxes we have in the US were designed for the TJet) and is currently winning all the dyno shootouts. When we catalog our shop car, we get consistent power, and independent dyno tests have backed it up again and again! Our shop car 264/263 at the flywheel, that's with the Plasma Ignition we just set up. At first people wonder why our box is a little more, that's because it houses two brains, the ECM and the Meth Injection brain. So when you think you've maxed out your performance, add the meth kit and get even more! Here is our datalog (flywheel numbers) and independent dyno (wheel numbers). This was coupled with an intake.
