Oil temperature measurement with diagnosis device
« on: March 21, 2015, 12:31:55 pm »
Hello

I'm wondering if you can read the oil temperature with a diagnosis device, is it possible?
Because I would like to buy a device so I can measure the oil temperature? Does the multi-air engine have an oil temperature sensor that's linked with the ECU? Because I've been in a Subaru '99 a while ago and he had a device that you can measure the oil temp, water temp, lambda and few other things I'm not sure if it's stock though because I thought that would be an easy way to know when the engine's oil is on the right temperature.

Thank you

Sorry to mislead you, just checked and I had changed its name, its the transmission temperature (code 3). Whatever that means, but when stationary its the same temp as the coolant. There is no data on oil temp. Again I do apologize.

PID's your getting technical now, I just connect to the ones in green, I have the fiat advanced app but as most of this is USA there is no 500 Tjet.
