Surely a Jubilee clip would do the trick and be a darned site cheaper?

I know you don't want to pay out £12 for a hose clamp, a tie wrap might do the job, but I think it would look as if were not bothered about the car.

Sorry Ollie I thought I had replied to this in a previous thread but dodgy WiFi must have dropped out. The hose clamps are reusable and not a problem.  I just use woodworking pliers or end cuts on the ear of the clamp to release it and put it back on. I have done it a few times with no problems and the original clips look so much better. TBH they are a bit of a slack fit but I dont think it is too critical on that side of the turbo.

Lethal, no worries! Glad you checked again to see if you'd replied  . Glad that you reassured me before going at it with the wrong tool/in the wrong manner! hopefully I won't have any issues when i come to replace the existing panel filter with the BMC one.
