Title: TMC Motorsport Induction Kit for APE
Post by: Atlgibson on September 16, 2014, 01:25:30 pm
Has anyone had the induction kit with the forge cone filter from TMC motorsport installed on their SuperSport. Presuming this is the correct one?

What's it like? Effects? Happy with the results?

Would like to know whether its worth the money :). Want one :)

Hi Mate,

believe it or not but the factory box with a good panel would be better performance, trust me i could read into this until im old and frail, adding a cone would only even out or increase your BHP by 1 or 2 hp, however saying this I'm fitting one for the noise as i want more then the turbo sound. Not Forge tho sorry making one myself.

Thanks for the reply mate :). To be honest i want one for the turbo flutter really not for the extra bhp (if any) but that seemed like a decent price. Would it be best to just go for the K&N cone filter or have a custom induction kit like yourself?

If you just have a cone put on does the ecu have to be adapted or anything?

Hi Mate,

I personally think its preference, im just getting a generic cone but I made sure its made from cotton(11.40 Inc VAT i think) and the piping i wouldnt imagine to be more than 30/40£ all silicone 4 ply.

What is the correct K&N part for the APE supersport as there seems to be a few different ones?

Would love to be able to compare the K&N Induction Kit to the Forge Induction Kit from TMC and see what the difference is!
