Who's TMCd their APE?
« on: May 04, 2011, 09:25:21 pm »
Lots of TMC chat in the A500 and AGP forums but less so in here (granted the car is newer so less of us).

Anyone had one fitted and how would you rate it? I know GTI Russ has and the outcome looks very positive, just wondered how many of you have and how you rate it.

Basically I'm 90% certain on buying one, just want to make extra sure first!

Any other reliable, well rated bits of kit?

There's plenty of APE owners with TMC boxes.
Just buy one you won't regret it.

Do you stick high octane fuel in after? I'm running normal unleaded at the mo.

What does it do to your overall MPG? I'm guessing heavy foot syndrome might set in for a while!  ;D

    One here.
You dont need to ask just get one. You are looking at around or close to 200bhp certainly feels like it.
Easy to fit on the APE just two connections. :thumb:

I've been tempted, I didn't have enough grunt to take the little 500s at Cadwell >:( might have something to do with the 23stone weight penalty behind the wheel :-[ and being crap on the important corners though ;D

Hi , I have an Evo myself obviously with one fitted and I love how it drives, my mpg is all town and averages round 29-30. I will be at Ragleigh house next Sunday and have plenty of kits with me as there are several people coming to have them fitted. Your welcome to come and test one out, if your not impressed ill take it back off no quibbles. Cheers

I imagine that should (when!) I decide to go for the much awaited SS kit that it will be a good combo like the AGP SS + TMC?

I'm not very techy so no idea how the Multi-Air engine will make a difference to the set up - though given the choice I'd proboably go with TMC over the SS kit - cheaper, more BHP gains and I love the claw wheels! (apart from the middle on the claw wheels, looks plasticy)

Main reason I was eagerly awaiting forum clearance was so I can ask you lot then go and PM mr TMC!

Hmm I'm in Mansfield so not a million miles away, might see if I can get a pass that weekend - what's the total cost inc VAT?

Everyone should have a TMC box - They should be on the options list at the dealers  :thumb:
Now that I'm a grown up I drive a sensible grey 595 Competizione with grey leather sabelt seats and yellow brake calipers. It's jolly nice! It's got a name - ' Razzogrigio' Now with a custom S/S group N style exhaust, black Esseesse wheels and a GTT induction kit, all sitting on Eibach springs.
