Abarth Punto Evo Dash computer
« on: January 20, 2014, 01:36:33 pm »
Hi All

I have had my Abarth Punto Eve Esseesse for a couple of weeks now and I love it!

This morning however when I started it up lots of lines appeared in the dash computer making it difficult to read. Has anyone ever had this problem?

Also does anyone know what the tyre pressure should be for a Punto Evo Esseesse?

Thanks  :)

    Not had computer issue.

regarding tyres its load dependent, and listed in bar front/rear in the manual for 18s, low load 2.5/2.3 bar or 36.3/33.3 psi (rounded up), high load 2.5/2.5 or 36.3/36.3 though having run a few alternative tyres and tried a number of different pressures I tend to find about 40 upfront, 36 rear suits me generally.

Great. Thanks for your help. I wondered whether the computer issue may have come about because it was quite cold overnight. Hmmm

When I used to start my Punto in the morning after a cold night, the screen used to be a bit weird in that it was harder to read. It would also take longer to change the displays to say the next number. Hard to explain but I guess you probably know what I mean!

I know exactly what you mean! Did you do anything about it?

    Thanks

Nah I just left mine. When it warmed up it seemed a lot more responsive. I just assumed it didn't like the cold! :)

The screens do appear to not like the cold weather.
I've never had one that's needed replacing though.

Cold mornings it plays up in mine too, drive it for 5 mins it fine. I've had my upper spoiler brake light go, along with indicators sometimes not operating correctly sometimes. Haven't looked into it as of yet

Happens to my computer screen too from time to time. It doesn't bother me much as it does clear after about 5 mins. Get it replaced if its still under warranty other wise I wouldn't worry. (Its what they call character!) ::)
